Chapter 3 of Daddy's Girl
Chapter 3
The mountains were painted with an orange streak of gold as the flaming ball rose into the sky, clearing the cloudless sky of darkness and enveloping it with light. The orange streak climbed higher and higher up the mountain until it reached the top and lit the tip of the mountain with gold before spiraling down the mountain like water running downstream. The light spread out and covered the land like a blanket, keeping everything inside of it warm. Birds chirped, welcoming the morning light and earthworms poked their heads out of the ground to bath in the lukewarm-like rays.
Owls retreated into their nests and crows cawed at the sunlight. Blue jays soared into the burning sky, cutting the sky with their wings as they flew back down and landed gracefully on a tree branch. A young rabbit emerged from its hole in the ground and nibbled on the sparkling grass that was being burned by the sun and was wet with dew.
As the wildlife was screaming, the golden blanket expanded further and shielded more land from the darkness that threatened to consume all. The shimmering glow rained down and drenched everything in a golden shower, expelling any darkness that might have been left.
Chester groaned as his face was hit with the overwhelming power of the sun and weakly opened his eyes, only to be blinded by the sun’s rays. “Stupid sun.” he grumbled under his breath as he got up and blindly searched for the curtains and snapped them shut, cutting off the light that spilled into his room that threatened to wake Talinda.
He went over to where his suitcases were and checked them to make sure he wasn’t forgetting anything. Once he was sure he had everything, he looked over to where his wife was sleeping to only find her awake. “Do you have everything?” she asked as Chester walked over to her and pulled her into a hug. “Not everything.” He said sadly as he kissed her softly.
“I know.” She whispered softly as a crystalline tear fell down her face.
Chester looked at her with crestfallen eyes. “I’ll call you everyday.”
Talinda nodded as she looked back at him with the same look in her eyes. “I will too. Matilda is gonna miss you.”
“I don’t know if I can stand being away from her for four months.” Talinda cupped Chester’s face in her hands as tears slid down his face like rainwater. “She’s so little and helpless. What if something happens while I’m gone and you’re not strong enough to protect her?”
“Nothing is gonna happen Chester.” Talinda reassured him. “I don’t want you to worry about us. I want you to have fun with the guys and the fans.”
Chester nodded. “But I-.” Talinda’s lips came crashing down and silenced Chester from finishing his sentence. Chester’s arm wrapped around her neck and he granted access to the tongue that was banging on the gates of his lips. Just as he rolled her over, a baby’s cry penetrated the golden moment and caused Chester to swear under his breath. “I’m also gonna miss that too.” Chester grinned as he ducked out of the room just in time to miss the pillow that was thrown his way.
He walked into his daughter’s room and ignored the pink walls that covered every inch of the room and the litter of stuffed pink animals that his wife insisted on buying. He walked over to the pink crib and picked up the wailing child from her prison. “Sssh, it’s ok. Daddy’s here.” He cooed softly at the red-faced baby. “I would be crying to if I was stuck in room full of pink.” He looked around the room with a disgusted look on his face. “I can’t believe I let Talinda talk me in to buying this stuff for her.” He said to himself as he walked over to the pink rocking chair and reluctantly sat down in it. He slowly rocked back and forth until Matilda stopped crying. He looked down at her and suddenly remembered why he came in here. He sighed as he looked down at his little girl who was wrapped in a pink blanket. Note to self: have a talk with Talinda when I get back. Chester thought to himself as he turned back to face reality. “Daddy’s going on tour for a while.” He began as he kept the tears from coming. “Daddy won’t be back for awhile so you be good for Mommy, alright?” he kissed the cooing babe on the forehead before walking over to the crib and laying her down. He picked up a sheet that wasn’t pink and placed it over her tiny body. “I love you.” He said as he kissed her one last time before going downstairs to where he knew Mike would be waiting for him.
Sure enough, just as he descended down the last flight of stairs, Mike’s spiky head greeted him at the bottom. “Hey man, ready to go?” Mike caught the sad look on Chester’s face and smiled as they walked out the door to the limo that was waiting for them. “Don’t worry Chester. I know it’s hard but they’re going to be fine. It’s not like the instant you leave some psychopath is going to come and kidnap them.” Chester shot Mike the death glare. “Relax man, I was just kidding.” Mike said as they boarded the limo.
Oh, if Mike only knew how right he was.
Yes I know. I’m evil right? If you wanna know what happens then you know the drill. REVIEW!!

Daddy's Girl: Chapter 2
Chapter 2
It has been a week since Matilda was let out of the hospital and she has been getting nothing but love and attention, especially from Chester. She was defiantly a daddy’s girl. Chester would buy her three to five bags of toys a day so Talinda has forbidden him to buy her anymore toys for awhile. “She has more toys then she needs! For God’s sake she’s only a week old!” Talinda exclaimed one day at Chester.
Chester sighed. “Ok, ok. I won’t buy her anymore.” Talinda smiled. Chester really loved Matilda. He’d do anything for her. She was his little girl; his princess.
Talinda walked into the living room and saw Chester sitting in the recliner with Matilda in his arms, singing “My December” to her. “This is my December, this is my snow-covered home.” He sang softly.
Chester then felt two slender arms wrap themselves around his neck. “I love it when you sing to her.” Talinda purred in his ear.
Chester craned his neck and planted a kiss on her cheek and smiled at her.
Matilda, seeing that her Daddy wasn’t paying her any attention, cooed up at him. Chester broke off from his wife’s kiss and looked down her. “You just want all the attention, don’t you?” he cooed teasing at her.
“I think she just wants all of Daddy’s attention.” Talinda said as she walked back to the kitchen.
Chester grinned. “Well, she can have all of Daddy’s attention that she wants.” He kissed her softly on her head. Matilda started to yawn. Chester pulled Matilda to his chest and made his way to the stairs. “C’mon, princess, time for your nap.”
He didn’t get very far before the doorbell started ringing. “Talinda, could you get that please?” Chester called over his shoulder as he ascended up the stairs.
“I’m on the phone!” Talinda called back from the kitchen.
Chester sighed as he went back downstairs and opened the door to reveal Joe, the mentally retarded one of the band. And here he thought it was someone important. This better be important. thought Chester bitterly. But with Joe, nothing’s important. “What do you want Joe?”
“Do you have the toys?” Joe asked excitedly.
“What toys?” asked Chester irritably.
“You know, Mr. Froggy’s babies and wife!” Joe exclaimed excitedly.
Chester stared at him like he was speaking Latian. “I have no idea what you’re talking about but I didn’t buy you any toys!”
“They’re not toys!” Joe exclaimed furiously, “they’re Mr. Froggy’s family!”
Chester was about to say something back when Matilda started to cry. “Shut that thing up and listen to me!” Joe whined like a little kid.
Talinda, hearing all the commotion, went into the living room. “What’s going on here?”
Chester walked over to her and gave her Matilda before turning back to Joe with the look of death etched onto his face. “You just made a grave mistake. Nobody makes my princess cry and gets away with it.” He snarled a viscous animal noise.
Joe closed his eyes and begged. “Please don’t hurt me Chester! I’m sorry!” Joe expected Chester to maul him, break some of his bones, and make him bleed to death, or kill him. Few minutes passed and Joe bravely cracked open an eye to see what was keeping Chester from ripping him apart. He saw a completely clam Chester standing in front of him. Too clam. Joe then realized that this kind of stuff always happens in the movies right before the victim is brutally tortured or killed.
Joe’s eyes widened and he screamed like he was in a horror movie. “SOMEBODY HELP ME!!” Joe screamed as he made a mad dash for the door. He tried to fling it open but it was locked. Joe glanced franticly behind him to see Chester advancing towards him slowly. Oh god, I’m gonna die and I haven’t even had children yet. Joe thought miserably.
Chester was coming closer and Joe was starting to lose his sanity. “MOMMY!!” Joe screamed in vain while banging on the door like a caged animal wanting to be let out. “PHOENIX, ROB, BRAD, MIKE!! SOMEBODY HELP ME!!! I DON’T WANNA DIE!!” Joe sobbed pitifully.
Chester grinned evilly as he got close. “You better run Joe.” Chester said in an eerie voice, “you don’t want me to get you.”
With a burst of adrenaline he never knew he had, Joe tore down the door and ran out of the house like a bat out of hell screaming “psychopath” while Chester was hot on his heels. “YOU BETTER RUN JOE IF YOU EVER WANT TO REPRODUCE IN THE FUTURE!!!” Joe sped up, not daring to look behind him.
Somewhere over the rainbow….
Brad sat in a rocking chair on his front porch, strumming his acoustic guitar and humming a song quietly to himself. All of the sudden, he heard a very loud girly scream off in the distance. He shook his head. “When will girls ever stop obsessing over clothes? It’s really annoying to hear about the latest shoe sale at Macy’s.” He then heard another person screaming. He sighed and rolled his eyes. “It’s probably just another stupid sale. Best thing to do is just ignore it.” He went back to playing his guitar, completely oblivious to what was happening.
Back to Joe and Chester….
Joe was still running like mad and Chester was still chasing him. Joe rounded a corner and his eyes widened when he came to a dead end. He whipped around and saw Chester standing at the entrance, blocking any chance of escape. The two walls on either side of Joe looked like they were going to close in on him any second. Joe closed his eyes and waited for Chester to pummel him.
Chester’s face broke out into a grin and burst out laughing. Joe opened his eyes and stared at Chester in bewilderment. “You should’ve seen your face!” Chester chortled, tears of laughter streaming down his face. “It was priceless.”
Joe glared at Chester. “You tricked me!” He shook with rage, “you’re evil Bennington. Pure evil.” He stormed up to Chester and shoved him out of the way and marched to his car. Chester continued to laugh hysterically as Joe gave him the middle finger and sped off in a fit of rage.

New story: Daddy's Girl
Summary: ever wondered what would happen if Chester and Talinda ever had a little girl? This is my take on what would happen.
Chapter 1
The smell of disinfectant and strong chemicals hung in the air. Chester sat nervously in the waiting room, biting his nails and trying to keep clam. He stared at the closed door in front of him that held his pregnant wife and soon-to-be-born child with an anxious look on his face. He had no idea what to expect. He and his wife had both refused to know the sex of the baby until it was born. The suspense was killing Chester.
A doctor in a long white coat approached Chester in a friendly manner. “Congratulations Mr. Bennington.” said the doctor cheerfully, “you have a baby girl. You’re welcome to see your wife now.” The doctor walked away, leaving Chester to absorb this new information.
A girl. Thought Chester in awe, I’m going to have a little girl. New emotions stared swimming inside of him. Fear, apprehension, love, and joy. All bubbling at the surface like a volcano ready to explode.
He slowly made his way to the door and gripped the handle, realizing for the first time that his palms were soaking in sweat. He cautiously opened the door slowly and timidly as if something vile was waiting behind the door, ready to grab him the second he walked through it.
He peered inside and looked around at all the machines and curtains until he saw Talinda. It was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen in his life. Talinda was propped up on the bed, hair frazzled and face red with tears streaks on them, but smiling like she just won the lottery. Inside her arms was a light pink blanket that she held closely to her chest and was looking at it with absolute love in her eyes. “Chester, come here.”
Chester slowly walked up to where his wife layed and planted a kiss on her lips. He then broke off from the passionate kiss and looked down at his daughter that was hidden by the blanket. Chester held his arms out. “May I?” he asked Talinda.
“Of course, she’s your daughter too.” Talinda smiled as Chester reached down and took the newborn from her. He pulled back the blankets so he could see her face better and found two brown orbs looking back at him. Wisps of brown hair were visible on her head and she had rosy, round cheeks. Chester could feel his heart melting. He had never seen something so beautiful in his life. Only knowing her for five minutes and he loved her uncontrollably already. He then realized that they didn’t have a name. “What are we going to name her?”
Talinda looked at him. “I was thinking we could name her Matilda. Matilda Charles Bennington. Do you like it?”
Chester could feel tears at the edges of his eyes but didn’t bother holding them back. They fell down his face like a river going downstream. “I love it.” He managed to choke out. He looked down at Matilda and found that her eyes were disappearing behind her eyelids. He smiled at her as a few drops of salt water splashed onto her pink cheeks. “Sweet dreams, my princess.”
